Terms of use

These terms govern your use of KaziMatch, a service operated by [Company legal name], [registered address], Kenya ("KaziMatch", "we"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

KaziMatch helps you assess job postings against your career profile and drafts CVs, cover letters and interview preparation using artificial intelligence. KaziMatch is a writing and preparation tool. It is not a recruitment agency, does not submit applications on your behalf, and does not guarantee interviews, job offers or any outcome.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
• Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Give accurate information. You may have one personal account.

3. Your content and its accuracy

You keep ownership of the CVs, profiles and other material you upload, and of the documents KaziMatch drafts for you. You give us permission to process that material only to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for what you send to employers. KaziMatch is designed to write only from the information you provide and to flag lines that stretch it, but AI can make mistakes. Read every document before you use it and correct anything inaccurate. Do not upload information you have no right to share, and do not use KaziMatch to misrepresent your qualifications or experience.

4. Credits and payment

• Some features require credits, bought in packs at the prices shown on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
• Payments are made through M-Pesa, operated by Safaricom PLC. Your use of M-Pesa is also subject to Safaricom's terms.
• Credits are added when the payment is confirmed. One credit unlocks one application as described on the pricing page.
• Credits do not expire while your account is open and have no cash value. They cannot be transferred.
• If you were charged but did not receive credits, contact us at [support email] with your M-Pesa confirmation code and we will investigate. [Refund terms to be confirmed.]

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break its security, overload it, extract its prompts or other users' data, resell it, or use automated means to access it except as we allow. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep KaziMatch available and accurate but provide it "as is". We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. We will tell you about material changes before they take effect.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, KaziMatch is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost job opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2012 or other Kenyan law that cannot be excluded.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your profile, applications and documents as described in our privacy notice. Unused credits are lost on deletion.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. We will try to resolve any dispute with you informally first; contact [support email].
