About KaziMatchBot
KaziMatchBot is the crawler behind KaziMatch's jobs board. It checks public vacancy pages so that job seekers in Kenya can find openings from government, counties, parastatals, NGOs and employers in one place, and always sends them to you to apply.
What it reads
- Public careers and vacancies pages, RSS or Atom feeds of adverts, pages that publish schema.org JobPosting data, official portals, and partner APIs that permit reuse with attribution.
- It does not log in anywhere, submit forms, or read pages that are not public.
- It identifies itself as
KaziMatchBot/1.0in every request.
What it respects
- robots.txt. Rules for
User-agent: KaziMatchBotorUser-agent: *are honoured. A disallowed page is not read. - A light touch. Each source is checked on a schedule of hours or days, not minutes; a handful of pages per visit; it backs off after errors.
- Attribution. Every listing names its source and links to the original advert. Candidates apply with you, through your page or instructions.
- Accuracy. Listings are archived when the advert's deadline passes or it disappears from your page.
