On the day, and after

What to carry

• The invitation (printed or on your phone) with the venue, time and contact.
• Your original ID.
• Original certificates and professional registrations, and a set of copies. Public bodies and many others check originals at the interview.
• Clearances, if the shortlist notice asked for them.
• Two printed copies of the CV you sent, and the posting.
• A pen, a small notebook, and your questions for the panel.
• Water, and anything you need for a wait that may be long; shortlists often book candidates in blocks.

Put everything in one folder the night before.
